I am desired by Mr.Asery to inform you that an

application for appointment in the Prism Department of

Hong Kong has been received from Mr.Daniel Eland Wood,

who states that he served under your Command in the lat

West Lancashire Field Ambulance in Gallipoli as stretcher

bearer and later as "Nursing Orderly".

If you feel able to do so Mr.Anery would be much

obliged if you would say what opinion you formed of

Mr.Wood particularly in regard to his health, character,

industry and intellectual ability.
